B. David Carson is a partner in the law firm of Erwin and Eleazer, P.A. Mr. Carson practices in the area of civil litigation, focusing on construction law. For more than 19 years, he has counseled and represented subcontractors, suppliers, general contractors, developers, sureties, commercial property owners, and homeowners in all facets of the construction process, such as licensing, permitting, contract negotiation, contractual disputes, lien law, OSHA compliance, and when necessary, related litigation, including mediation, arbitration, and trial. In 2006, and again in 2007, the Business North Carolina magazine named Mr. Carson to its list of Legal Elite lawyers in the area of construction law.
Mr. Carson received his bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Carson received his juris doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he graduated with the distinction of Order of the Coif.
Mr. Carson is a regular seminar speaker for Lorman Education Services on the topic of North Carolina lien law and served on the committee that revised the lien law in 2005. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association (Construction Section member: Officer-Treasurer 1998-1999 and Secretary 2000-2001; Lien Law Revision Committee 2001-2005; and Joint Committee-Carolinas AGC and NCBA 2002-2003) and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
